What is a Typical Practice Like?Swimmers take part in a variety of training activities, including land exercises, swim workouts, and artistic swimming–specific drills. They develop their skills in figures—individual movements performed in the water—and work on choreographed routines in team, trio, duet, and solo formats.
|
Are there any Prerequisites to Join the Team?No prior artistic swimming experience is required to join our team. Swimmers must be at least 6 years old and able to swim 25 yards independently. Because artistic swimmers perform without touching the bottom of the pool, participants should also be comfortable treading water in the deep end.
